Sing & Be Glad Vol. 1

Recorded in Edinburgh over 2021

In Autumn 2020 we were having a lot of fun jamming old hymn tunes with modern harmonies and instruments. Between several lockdowns we managed to record some of our jams and construct the first volume of our new worship project: Sing & Be Glad. 

I find it so incredible that words written hundreds of years ago still have so much poignance and weight. These hymns we chose near at random are full of so much meaning!

Both from a compositional and production standpoint we were influenced by folk music of the 70s, Joni Mitchell, Nick Drake and Paul Simon, as well as more modern artists such as Sufjan Stevens.
