O Holy Night

When recording a Christmas carol the challenge is always how to make your version stand out. For me this meant making sure that no two repeating sections had exactly the same arrangement, and adding effects while not disrupting the acoustic feel of the song. One of these was the cello bassline in the final chorus with a panned quaver delay. After a verse with nothing in the low end this makes the impact of the sudden forte more apparent.
